April is here and the 1st week so far has been a full moon fulfilling shellebration of our blue planet -- the dearest, sweetest, life affirming, precious jewel of an enigma, Earth. The 2026 Beneath the Surface Book Tour is really starting to get going, and I was so delighted to spend the very first Jane Goodall Day at Brooker Creek Preserve in Tarpon Springs, Florida.
It's been such an honor to bring my ocean literacy program to more readers in the Tampa Bay Area, while collecting their feedback and crafting the final pages of the sequel to Beneath the Surface, which takes place right here, in the Gulf of Mexico.
It's also been a chance to reflect and catch up on postcards! You can now check out postcard # 3 on my Patreon and look for Postcards #4 and #5 coming out over the weekend. All my love and thanks to those of you pitching in to buy a postcard or a pack! Your contribution means more than just financial support, it really tells me that you value the importance of ocean literacy and motivates me to find ways to navigate around all the obstacles on my path and keep going.
April is also National Poetry Month, and it's been an honor to be celebrated in this month's Key West Literary Seminar Alumni Newsletter (see below).

Now going into its 44th year, the Key West Literary Seminar will focus on "Poetry" in 2027. What an exciting time to be alive and celebrate Lexile lyricism. I am so proud to be a member of the KWLS family.

I'm excited to get back to the Keys at the end of this month and celebrate Earth Day all along this national treasure of an archipelago. Starting with a day of volunteer work with Reef Relief, then joining MOTE's Ocean Fest as a vendor, and last but not least, keeping the spirit going all year long with a May 2nd clean up for iCARE's 4th Annual Trash Derby with Surfrider this year before finally vending at the May 3rd big event.
Overall, good fortune has been on my side since my arrival in Gainesville, FL. and ever since I got to the Tampa Bay Area I have been experiencing a deep flow state. I got some good news for the tour I hope to share with you soon, and it even rained here after several months of severe drought.
Just like the new book I'm writing, I keep looking out for delightful plot twists and signs of hope everywhere for the utopia I am certain we can build together, in shellebration of all the infinite love in the universe. Thanks so much for reading!
To be continued...
